I’ve played golf since I was 14 and still get out at least twice a week, playing Peninsula. We also enjoy cruising and heading south for a couple of months in the winter.”

Jerry Zaug

We’ve owned and operated the Country House Resort, next to our home, for 32 years. The resort has 46 rooms and suites with 27 acres and 1,100’ of shoreline. Before that, I was president of Zaug’s Vending & Food Service Management, Appleton, WI, for 20 years.

Community Service

  • Appleton Rotary Club, member for 58 years, maintaining some relationship with the community where we raised our family and had many friends.
  • Peninsula Players Theatre, Board of Directors, Treasurer and currently on Housing and Finance Committees since 1994.
  • Door County Visitor Bureau, Board of Directors and Treasurer for eight years while we enacted the county wide room tax which enabled us to increase our marketing effort more than tenfold and expand tourism.
